We are looking for a
MECHANICAL PRODUCT ENGINEER (Documentation & Engineering Support)
to join our engineering organization on-site in Espoo.
This role strengthens the interface between mechanical design, production, and documentation. You will be part of a growing engineering support function, working closely with both R&D and operations to ensure that mechanical designs are clearly documented, manufacturable, and ready for reliable production use.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Mechanical Product Engineer, your work is hands-on and product-focused. Rather than designing entirely new concepts, you will take ownership of production-facing engineering tasks and support the transfer of designs into manufacturing in a structured and consistent way.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing, updating, and maintaining mechanical production documentation such as drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Reviewing mechanical designs and design changes for clarity, correctness, and manufacturability prior to release
- Supporting internal mechanical testing and assisting with structured test reports
- Contributing to DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews related to tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Supporting engineering change management activities (ECR/ECO/ECN) and ensuring changes are properly documented, reviewed, and communicated
- Acting as a practical interface between R&D and operations, supporting production readiness for new and updated products
The role is well-suited to someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work, values accuracy and ownership, and is motivated by supporting others and ensuring that products are clearly documented and ready for reliable production use.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar field
- Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Strong ability to read, review, and interpret mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and engineering change processes
- Basic proficiency with CAD tools and MS Office
- Fluent in English; Finnish is considered an asset
- Finnish of NATO country Citizenship is required
- Due to the nature and timing of the role, we are currently considering candidates who are already based in Finland and eligible to work here. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer relocation assistance.
What’s in it for you?
We offer you a stable and responsible role in a small but growing engineering organization, within a meaningful and technology-driven industry. While mechanical engineering is a support function in our business, the role has real impact on product quality and production success. As the company grows, the role and scope can also develop over time.
The salary range for this position is approximately 3,500–4,500 € per month, depending on your experience and skills.
Would you like to be part of our story?
If you recognize yourself in the description above, we would be happy to tell you more about Alaris COJOT as an employer and discuss the role in more detail.
