MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER, ALARIS COJOT
We are looking for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join Alaris COJOT innovative team on‑site in Espoo.

Alaris COJOT Oy is a well‑respected, long‑established Finnish company that designs and develops VHF/UHF/SHF wideband antennas and accessories for mobile tactical communications, electronic warfare, and spectrum monitoring applications.
We are part of Alaris, The RF Technology Group, which consists of several RF technology companies across Finland, South Africa, the USA, Germany, and the UK. As part of the Alaris COJOT engineering team in Finland, you will work in close cooperation with international R&D teams while being firmly rooted in our Espoo‑based operation. www.cojot.alaris.tech
We are looking for a passionate and skilled
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
to join our innovative team on‑site in Espoo.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with our RF engineers and play an important role from the early phases of customer projects through to production. Our mechanical team is small (2–3 engineers), which makes the role broad in scope and gives you genuine responsibility and visibility into the whole product lifecycle.
Your work will include, among other things:
✅ Applying, adapting, and refining existing design modules to meet new product requirements
✅ Focusing on cost efficiency, manufacturability, maintainability, and environmental conditions
✅ Considering structural, aerodynamic, thermal, and moisture‑management aspects
✅ Conducting analyses, building prototypes, performing tests, and refining designs based on results
✅ Drafting product specifications, manuals, and assembly instructions
In practice, much of the mechanical design work is based on developing and adapting existing solutions rather than always creating completely new designs. However, project requirements vary, and you will also have opportunities to design new structures and solutions from scratch when needed. The role combines practical, down‑to‑earth engineering with the possibility to contribute creatively where it adds the most value.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate has a strong background in the development and manufacturing of mechanical products, machines, or structures, along with technical curiosity, a problem‑solving mindset, and a hands‑on approach to engineering. You hold a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering and have a few years of relevant work experience.
You are comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for your designs, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail even under pressure. This role suits someone who enjoys doing meaningful expert work in a small team environment and is motivated by seeing their work turn into real, functioning products rather than rapid, predefined career steps.
Good oral and written communication skills in English are expected. NATO citizenship is required.
What’s in it for you?
We offer you a responsible and stable role in a competent and experienced engineering team, within a growing and meaningful industry. While our Finnish organization is small, our operating environment is international, and collaboration across the Alaris group offers a solid platform for professional growth, particularly if RF technology is an area you want to deepen your understanding of.
Our salary level and pay‑for‑performance system are competitive. The salary range for this position is approximately €4,500–5,500 per month, depending on your experience and skills.
Would you like to be part of our story?
If you recognize yourself in the description above, we would be happy to tell you more about Alaris COJOT as an employer and discuss the technical details of the role in more depth.
