Would you like to join an international sourcing environment where your work has a visible impact and you are given real responsibility?
We are now looking for a SOURCING MANAGER
In this role, you will be responsible for selected sourcing categories related to assembly components. The position combines operational purchasing, supplier relationship development and supporting pricing decisions – in other words, you will get to manage your own area independently.
At the core of your work are cost-effective sourcing, delivery reliability and strong supplier relationships within our global partner network. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and international partners. The role includes some travel within Finland and to suppliers globally.
Your work combines day-to-day operational problem solving with longer-term sourcing development. We are continuously improving our ways of working, so you will have the opportunity to influence how sourcing is done in the future.
What the role involves in practice
At K.Hartwall, sourcing is divided into raw materials and assembly components. In this role, you will work on the assembly component side, close to the finished product. You will be responsible for your own sourcing categories, such as fasteners, plastic and assembly components, textiles and other assembly supplies, as well as their cost level and availability.
You will participate in supplier selections, negotiations and supplier relationship development, while also monitoring supplier performance. You will manage inventory levels in a project-driven environment where schedules may change, and decisions are often made quickly. You will also be involved in supporting pricing decisions.
What kind of background helps you succeed
To succeed in this role, you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, together with at least three years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management within manufacturing. Five years of experience would provide an especially strong foundation.
We also value an understanding of production, production technologies and materials, as well as knowledge of cost structures and cost analysis. Confident use of Excel and experience with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, are considered an advantage.
You will need to be fluent in both Finnish and English and be capable of negotiating, communicating, and collaborating with different kinds of people.
You will thrive in this role if you enjoy an entrepreneurial way of working, take ownership and appreciate an environment where responsibility and freedom go hand in hand. An analytical, solution-oriented and resilient mindset will help you succeed, together with a willingness to learn and a fair, reliable way of working.
Working environment and culture
We have a flat hierarchy where responsibility comes with real ownership. Decisions are made close to the business, and the impact of your work is visible quickly. The international operating environment is combined with a local, straightforward way of working where help is both given and received.
While the working environment is international, Swedish language is also naturally present in the headquarters everyday life and informal conversations. Swedish is not a formal requirement for the role, but it is useful context to know from the start.
What we offer
We offer you a permanent role in an international yet agile organisation, where your work has a visible impact and you can take real ownership of your area.
You will be supported by a warm and open work community, thorough onboarding and a team that helps you settle into the role quickly. The benefits include extended occupational healthcare, ePassi, a mobile phone benefit, subsidised lunch at the headquarters canteen and access to affordable electric vehicle charging points in the parking lot.
