We are now looking for a

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

in our office either in Jyväskylä or Savonlinna.

In this role you’ll be playing a vital role ensuring the quality and reliability of our external vendors. This is a new position in our company, and we are excited to have a new engineer to take responsibility for managing this entity. In this role you’ll be evaluating suppliers, auditing their processes, and collaborating with them to improve their quality systems. You’ll be also responsible for driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards to meet the company's quality objectives. You will join our sourcing team in operations department and work closely with both suppliers and our own R&D team, production engineers and quality manager. You’ll be reporting to our Sourcing Director.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for person who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and has gathered experience in supplier quality assurance, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

You have strong understanding of quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100. You have also been in touch for example with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis. You possess an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, and you have a proven track record of driving supplier quality improvements with measurable results.

We value strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You are result-driven, self-motivated, and have solid project management experience. You are fluent in English both written and spoken. We see as an advantage Finnish speaking and writing skills as well as knowledge with quality management software and tools or a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification. Willingness to travel to supplier locations is required in average once per month.
