We are looking for an

AUDIO TEST ENGINEER

to work with meaningful tasks and lifesaving products in Espoo for a permanent employment.

In this role you will work with critical communication solutions as a member of our Audio R&D team. You have the possibility to work in many different projects simultaneously in the world of communication controllers, headsets, mask communication and active hearing protection devices. The products are unique and manufactured with quality first e.g., for the use of various authorities and the defense industry.

Your main task is to perform audio and acoustic measurements that support design, product development and product customization at various stages. You will oversee the audio lab, measurement equipment, and conduct audio and acoustic testing, including documenting product specifications and evaluating components. Your role involves creating and executing test plans and evaluating product prototypes and final products. Additionally, you will contribute to New Product Introduction processes and ensuring production quality with a focus on audio performance.

We expect you to hold at least a B.Sc. degree in an audio -related field. You have gained some experience in audio and acoustic measurements, including best practices and methodologies. In-depth knowledge and hands on experience in audio and acoustics —covering areas such as acoustics and speech, transducers, analog audio electronics, CODEC ICs, DSP and implementing audio measurement and analysis algorithms using Python and LabView— is highly appreciated. Writing measurement report and documenting the findings is no challenge for you, and getting done the measurements right is something you feel passion.

This position is also well-suited for an audio and acoustic expert in the early stages of their career. A driver's license and occasional access to a car are essential, as you will occasionally need to work with our production teams in Jyväskylä and Savonlinna. Our main working language is English, but we also value strong proficiency in the Finnish language.
